In October 2011, Woodward Design+Build officially moved into its new headquarters at 1000 S. Jefferson Davis Parkway. Our new headquarters is more than just our new address. The project is truly a representation of what we as a company stand for, our future direction, our commitment to the New Orleans region and the combined talents and determination of Woodward people.
Woodward is a regional leader in sustainable building, so it’s fitting that our new headquarters has been carefully crafted to attain LEED certification. Solar panels help supply its energy needs and actually send surplus energy back into the grid. There’s a state-of-the-art HVAC system and a portion of the roof is landscaped. This “green” roof helps insulate the building, and unlike many other such roofs intended strictly for building efficiency, we designed ours to be fully accessible to employees, creating a space where people can get a breath of fresh air during the workday, take an al fresco lunch or just enjoy a view of the city.
