Tulane University Donna and Paul Flower Hall for Research & Innovation

Woodward has a long history on the campus of Tulane University and the Donna and Paul Flower Hall for Research and Innovation is just one part of the history.

As a graduate of Tulane University, Woodward President and CEO Paul Flower sought to give back to the school by funding a new facility to replace the outdated Dr. Francis M. Taylor Laboratory building. Woodward completed the design of the new building and acted as the general contractor, completing the project to meet sustainability goals that earned the building LEED Silver Certification. The new Flower Hall is a 4 story, 25,525 square foot educational facility that incorporates space for research laboratories, collaborative student study areas and offices for faculty. It is a center of research and innovation on Tulane’s campus, attracting the best and brightest students and faculty to the School of Science and Engineering. With research and innovation as the focus of the building, Flower Hall serves as a place for new ideas to develop and spur growth at Tulane University and in the regional economy.

Other projects for Tulane University include the Environmental Science Building, fast track restorations following Hurricane Katrina, Turchin Stadium, Weatherhead Hall, the Primate Research Center Nursery Building, and the forthcoming Yulman Football Stadium.

The only thing that describes a great university is they have great people, and the only thing that brings great people to an institution is they believe they have the resources there to be able to do great work. This building is all about bringing great people to the university and helping to support them.
