Special Projects
Louisiana-SPCA
The LA/SPCA consists of a 22,000 square foot Metal Building with roughly 85,000 square feet of Site Paving. The building is a state of the art facility that is used to provide shelter, medical care and the chance for a pet to be adopted into a family. The building also contains a very impressive HVAC system that allows each dog kennel to have its own exhaust system. This exhaust system helps draw fresh air into the kennel which helps with odor control and sanitation. A urethane flooring system was also used in the kennel areas to help control sanitation. This floor system is non-porous and is chemical resistant. The facility also contains areas for cats like an adoption room equipped with cat condos, a cat iso room, and a feral room. There are 7 exercise yards on the outside of the facility that are used to let the animals exercise and for the potenial owners to play with the animal they might adopt.
