Perdido Towers Condominiums
This project consisted of Hurricane Ivan repairs to two 25 year old condominium buildings. Each of the 64,000 square foot buildings was practically stripped down to the bare structure and new exterior walls and floor to ceiling windows were rebuilt with current coastal wind zone criteria. Each building consists of 34 units ranging from 1100 – 1800 square feet plus common areas. The outdated 1980s construction and interior finishes were revitalized and updated, giving the appearance of a contemporary building.
The primary new feature is the high performance floor to ceiling glass doors and windows providing a panoramic view of the gulf. Within each condo, the owner had the opportunity to personalize the interior look of their unit by selecting cabinet styles, granite colors, tile floors, paint color, appliances, plumbing fixtures and lighting. In the common areas, we updated the color scheme with finishes ranging from the new elevator interiors to the guardrails on the balconies. The mechanical and electrical systems were entirely replaced throughout the two towers and the pool house. The 2000 square foot pool house was renovated inside and out to match the style and new color scheme, with an added meeting room. The owners of Perdido Towers now have a clubhouse onsite for parties and gatherings that opens to the repaired pool, rebuilt pool deck, and the view of the Gulf of Mexico.
