Palace Cafe

Woodward Design+Build was privileged to be selected by the Brennan Family and Architect Stewart Farnet to work on the renovation of the historical Canal Street Werlein Building, into a new two-story restaurant to be named the Palace Cafe’. Work included complete revamping of the rear building area for the rear entrance and kitchen space. As well as demolition to allow for first and second floor seating as well as an atrium overlooking the first floor space. Renovation of the third and fourth floors allowed for expansion as well as administrative space, and air conditioning equipment located on the second floor roof of rear building.

A new monumental stair was fabricated and erected for access to the second floor. An existing elevator was refinished, a complete new kitchen facility with interior windows to view the kitchen was installed on the first floor in the rear building. The finished dining spaces on both first and second floors were completely reworked to form an attractive setting for dining suitable to the Brennan family style. Woodward Millwork Group completed all of the interior booth seating as well as a new bar and wainscot around the entire area.
