The New Orleans Healing Center is a project that involved complete renovations to seven existing buildings. One building was a historic house on the corner of St. Claude and St. Roch dating back to the 1850’s, the other six buildings were the site of the former Universal Furniture showroom and warehouse. The scope of work included renovating the seven different buildings into one cohesive retail facility in order to revitalize the St. Claude/St. Roch neighborhood. The goal of this project is to create a center of various health and wellness tenants including yoga and dance studios, a performance hall, a book store, classrooms, a restaurant, florist and co-op food store. The colorful exterior of the Healing Center represents the eclectic tenants that occupy this health and wellness market place.

The New Orleans Healing Center is another example of a project that showcases our in-house capabilities. Woodward Millwork Group crafted the monumental stair at the entrance of the Healing Center leading up to the bookstore where they also crafted the book cases. Woodward Steel Group performed the structural modifications to make the separate buildings all one, they also installed the stairs and interior and exterior handrails.
