Laitram - Machine Shop Expansion

Woodward Design+Build, has been Laitram’s Contractor of choice for the past 10 years and the relationship continued with the design and building of the Laitram Machine Shop Expansion. Woodward Design+Build worked with HMS Architecture, Woodward Steel Group, and Butler Building Company in the design of a state of the art Structural Steel and Metal Wall panel building that maximized the space, offered exceptional energy effiency, and look to resemble the current machine shop.

Work involved a 22,800 square foot expansion to there existing facility including entirely self supporting steel structure, new mechanical / HVAC systems, electrical systems, three new overhead cranes, emergency generator back up, lounge and restroom facilities, new site paving and landscaping. This new facility utilized a mezzanine that housed all Mechanical and electrical equipment while also allowing plenty of room for storage and possible future working space.
