Iberville Redevelopment

Woodward is serving as the design-build contractor on Phase I and II of the Iberville Redevelopment, a project that aims to transform the former housing project into a vibrant mixed-income neighborhood. Redevelopment of the area is occurring in phases, with Woodward completing work on two city blocks during Phase 1 and one city block during Phase 2. In addition to preserving some of the existing public housing through historic renovations, the project consists of new construction of townhome style apartments and larger multifamily apartment buildings, along with public right of way street improvements for the redeveloped Iberville blocks. Woodward is reintegrating the community into the existing street grid, providing better connectivity between the neighborhood and the rest of the city.

The entire project will create 227 new apartment units by February 2015, with hopes for continued transformation in the surrounding Iberville area.
