Federal Bureau of Investigation
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is a four-story building consisting of three floors of office space above a secured parking area. Attached is an additional covered parking garage, and an automotive/radio maintenance facility. Total square footage for the entire project was over 200,000 square feet. The project was awarded in June 1998, and completed in August of 1999.
The base building is steel framed on pile supported foundations with a masonry facade. The mechanical system is an air-cooled, chilled water, variable air volume system with sophisticated energy management controls. This system includes 24-hour standby air conditioning with 100% redundancy that is operated off of an emergency generator system. The facility is surrounded by a barrier fence with controlled access. Woodward Design + Build was responsible for all non-architectural design and construction.
