Delgado Community College Student Life Center

This two story, 44,000 square foot building is a structural steel building built between and attached to two existing single story structures. The Student Life Center features a food court, internet cafe, student lounge, copy center, convenience store and television and game rooms on the first floor.

The second floor’s main attraction is a ballroom area with a 14 foot ceiling and seating capacity of 500 people. This ballroom can be divided into three smaller rooms to handle more than activity. In addition, the second floor has a dining/lounge area and three small conference rooms.

The building gives Delgado the opportunity to have a facility for conferences, school functions and class conferences with faculty, students, the community and business organizations. Woodward Design+Build was the design-build contractor for this facility in conjunction with Morton Verges Architects.

When the Student Government Association developed their plans for a new Student Life Center, we the project had far reaching effects for the entire college. It was important to us that he contractor be a trusted partner. Student funds made this new building possible, but thanks to Carl E. Woodward LLC, our current and future students will soon have a superb facility to enjoy for many years to come. CEW has helped Delgado Community College realize a dream of revitalizing student life on our City Park Campus
