Compass for Kids

Compass Furniture Store has been a New Orleans institution for over 30 years. Their main showroom has a focus on fine formal furniture with only a small area dedicated to furniture specifically for the needs of children. In analyzing buying trends, the Rippners determined there was a growing interest by families to provide nicer furniture for children. It was decided a separate store would be appropriate and Compass for Kids was created.

Located on Veterans Boulevard, Compass for Kids became so successful that an additional 4,000 square feet of space was needed to double the floor space. This addition was designed by Case Design. It features 19 vignettes for displaying furniture, an employee break room, storage rooms, and restroom facilities. The display area itself is considered the largest of its kind in New Orleans.
