Benson Tower

1450 Poydras is the location of Benson Tower, formerly known as Dominion Tower and part of the New Olreans Centre complex next to the Louisiana Superdome. This 26 story skyscraper was purchased by Saints owner Tom Benson along with the New Orleans Centre and adjoining parking garage. Woodward Design+Build was selected for the renovation, with a scope of work that involves a new roof and hvac systems, renovations to the interior spaces and repairs to the building envelope to create first class office space for the building’s tenants.
Once complete, it will provide 320,000 square feet of office space for the State of Louisiana. Additional space will be leased to other tenants. The Benson Tower is a key catalyst for the improvements made to the Poydras corridor. The Benson Tower is a part of this overall development of the area around the Superdome be tranformed into a sports and entertainment district.
