Rene brings over 30 years of construction industry experience to Woodward Design+Build. Most recently, Rene spent 7 years working as a consultant in the areas of business operations and financial planning, including business valuations, transactions and exit strategies. Prior to this time, Rene worked as a Project Manager and Owner Representative on multiple large development projects. He has additionally worked as a Project Administrator, Operations Manager, CAO, Project Engineer and Estimator.

Rene holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of New Orleans, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Louisiana State University. Rene also served as a Captain in the United States Army.

Continuous dedication to community has been a theme throughout Rene's career. He currently serves as President of the New Orleans Hispanic Heritage Foundation, and is the Past President and a current board member of Metairie Sunrise Rotary. Past service includes the boards of the YMCA's Educational Services and Southeast Louisiana Chapter of Construction Financial Management. Rene was also a former member of the University of New Orleans Master Plan Committee. He is also a regular rider in the Bike MS event, a 2 day, 150 mile charity ride.
