Ken Flower

Ken Flower is a native of New Orleans and has worked in the construction industry full time since 1997, although his time with Woodward dates back as far as 1990 when he first interned for the company as an assistant field engineer. Ken is a graduate of Tulane University and holds a Master of Construction Science Management from Clemson University as well as a Master of Business Administration from the University of New Orleans. After earning his degrees, Ken worked for the national firm Holder Construction on aviation, commercial, and datacenter technology projects in the D.C., Atlanta, Birmingham and Charlotte areas. In 2003 he returned home to New Orleans to work for Woodward.

Ken has overseen the Woodward Design Group, Woodward Engineering Group, preconstruction efforts, sustainability initiatives, and some of the company’s largest projects, such as Tulane University’s new 30,000 seat on-campus football stadium. He has received training from the United States Green Building Council and was instrumental in gaining LEED Gold certification for Woodward’s office building in 2011.

Ken is actively involved in several community and professional organizations. He has served on the boards of the Green Project New Orleans, and CADA (Counsel for Alcohol and Drug Abuse) of Greater New Orleans. He currently serves on the New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors, UNO Research and Technology Foundation Board of Directors, and Clemson University Department of Construction Science and Management Industrial Advisory Board. He is a member of a Vistage executive peer group and was honored by New Orleans CityBusiness as a 2015 Driving Force.
