Armand LeGardeur

For 55 years, the steady presence of Ace LeGardeur has helped guide Woodward from a small firm of just a few individuals to the regional leader it has become today. Working with founder Carl E. Woodward, Ace learned about his vision for a truly integrated design build firm. He served as President at Woodward from 1964 to 1987. Since 1987, Ace has continued to work on a wide variety of projects such as Bridge House and the United States Custom House. Every day, Ace lends his incredible experience and knowledge to countless numbers of Project Managers as well as the Executive Management team. 

A native of Metairie, LA, Ace earned a degree in Construction Engineering from Yale University. In addition, Ace served his country in the United States Army, earning a Commission from The Engineers Officer Candidate School, as well as, serving with the Corps of Engineers in Korea. Ace's commitment to New Orleans has been evidenced by his countless community efforts. He has served on the Board's of Children's Hospital Board of Trustees, The United Way, and the Greater New Orleans and River Region Chamber of Commerce. In 1981, Ace was awarded with the prestigious Times-Picayune Loving Cup Award for Community Service.
