While most attending Saturday’s Tulane-Georgia Tech football game in Yulman Stadium will be laying eyes within the new construction for the first time, the Green Wave players already feel at home in the 30,000-capacity confines.

The facility will be dedicated in a ceremony on Friday and open doors for its first game and the first football game on campus in nearly 40 years at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

“The coolest thing about the stadium is everything is like right there,” Tulane center Nathan Shienle said. “All the student section is right up close to the field. That’s going to make a really awesome atmosphere.”

Wide receiver Xavier Rush agreed. He wants his student peers right up close and personal.

“My favorite part of Yulman Stadium is probably the student section,” wide receiver Xavier Rush said. “The students are very excited for the game and when you get close in the end zone, you are right there on them. I think that’s real cool.”

Here is an array of videos from Tulane players telling us what they like best about the new stadium.
