Woodward Design+Build begins work on the new Borders Books on St. Charles Ave.

Woodward Design + Build begins work on the new Borders Books location in New Orleans. This unique project involves the conversion of the Bultman Funeral Home on St. Charles Ave. into a Borders Books, combining historic preservation of the buildings exterior while building a steel-frame construction within the the buildings original facade. The perimeter of the building will be saved and renovated including the addition of a new storefront in the rear parking lot. The entire perimeter will have steel bracing to provide structural support during demolition and construction of the interior building.
