Benson Tower: Over the Edge

Woodward’s renovations to Benson Tower represents one more step in the recovery of New Orleans, and it’s an important part of the complete revitalization of the Poydras corridor surrounding the Louisiana Superdome. On August 27, 2010, a group of Woodward employees proudly (and bravely) participated in a charitable event set up by New Orleans Saint’s Owner Rita Benson-LeBlanc called Over the Edge. This event was a fundraiser for Special Olympics. Participants joined the Jefferson Parish SWAT Team to rappel down the the side of the 26 story Benson Tower! The Woodward employees who “took the pledge” on this towering challenge included Bill LeCorgne, Wesley Palmisano, Nick Moldaner, John Dalton, Chris Michel, Nick Mills, Pat Ibert, Joey Cardwell, Jessie Foster and Jason Rodgers.
