Academy of Sacred Heart Gymnasium
Many contractors in the region turn to Woodward Steel Group for their expertise in steel erection. This project for the Academy of Sacred Heart involved the construction of a new gymnasium for students at the K-12 school. The new gym is 2 stories tall with a mezzanine for utilities, and a connecting covered walkway and pedestrian bridge to link to existing buildings on the campus. The scope of work for Woodward Steel Group involved structural steel, decking, 3 sets of stairs, the pedestrian bridge and louvres, all totaling to 259 tons of steel. Woodward Steel Group handled the job within a very tight footprint on the site, helping to get the contractor back on schedule and setting the pedestrian bridge in a single day.
