Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse
The 700 Block of Iberville and the Vieux Carre has never been more exciting. Woodward Design+Build constructed the 10,000 square foot Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse in the first floor of the 90-year-old Iberville parking garage building.
The steakhouse seats approximately 250 patrons and is a unique addition to the Brennan Restaurant family. Designed by Knauer, Inc., Architects in Chicago, the work included removing and lowering the entire basement floor to gain approximately 18 inches in height for the restaurant facility, plus special furnishings in the restaurant and kitchen areas. There are major features by Woodward Millwork Group throughout the facility, including a new bar, false beams throughout the ceiling, and many decorative wood moldings and trim.
The Iberville garage, a reinforced concrete structure housing the entry to the garage, plus the Brennan’s Steakhouse, received a face lift, miscellaneous concrete repairs, new HDLC acceptable exterior windows, and complete new lighting and waterproofing treatment. Operated by Dixie Parking Garage, the facility provides needed valet parking in this busy Vieux Carre area.
