Dedication Ceremony at Hibernia Tower
5 April 2013
On April 4th, 2013, over 100 people gathered on the ground floor of Hibernia Tower to take part in the dedication ceremony of the landmark project. Constructed in 1921, the 23 story building recently underwent a historic renovation and conversion into a mixed use building. The renovated building at 313 Carondelet maintains the historic exterior, rooftop cupola and historic interior elements, but now houses bank retail, commercial office space and residential apartments. The project was made possible through the efforts of HRI Properties and Woodward Interests, along with many other firms as well as public sector help. Parties who played a role in the bringing the project to fruition were recognized throughout the ceremony that led up to the ribbon cutting. Guest speakers Mayor Mitch Landrieu and Councilmember Latoya Cantrell praised the project as attendees celebrated an iconic, historic building being returned to commerce in downtown New Orleans.
