Business Development & Marketing Manager
Woodward Design+Build is seeking a Business Development & Marketing Manager.
Goal: The goal of the Business Development & Marketing Manager is to ensure Woodward team members have the tools and systems in place to establish and strengthen relationships with current and future clients and to ensure that the company’s brand, driven by the company’s core values, is ideally positioned for continued strategic growth.
The Business Development & Marketing Manager (BDMM) will collaborate with members Woodward’s executive leadership team to establish and execute the company’s strategy for achieving its vision and growth goals. The BDMM will be responsible for executing all of the marketing department’s strategic activities and analyzing these activities for effectiveness. Responsibilities also include leading the implementation of the CRM tool and holding teammates accountable to using it.
The role of the BDMM is a highly visible leadership position in an established and growing design/build firm. The ideal candidate for this role has experience leading marketing efforts, preferably with an architecture or GC firm, and is as eager to learn as he/she is to lead.
The Business Development & Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Organizational Development.
More specific responsibilities of this role include:
Support team members in the pursuit to establish new business by establishing a relationship-building process.
Assist in new business pursuits, including development of pursuit-driven sales strategies.
Provide training and accountability and maximize use of CRM software.
Manage Woodward’s database of sales and proposal information and report information as requested.
Collaborate with team members across the company to complete compelling proposals.
Supervise and streamline the proposal process.
Establish, test, and refine the company’s approach to winning presentations and interviews for new business pursuits.
Collaborate with leaders to develop and execute a marketing strategy that supports our strategic growth goals,
Track and provide visibility and accountability for the execution of all strategic marketing activities.
Create marketing playbook and procedures that streamline marketing processes across the company.
Manage company sponsorships and events.
Create and execute marketing campaigns that support the company’s marketing strategy, including writing content, managing design and production of collateral, etc.
Manage all marketing tools and collateral such as photography, swag, recruitment tools, etc.
Lead and develop members of the marketing team.
